Before I started writing for children, I was a poet. I think I’ll always write poetry, no matter what else I do, and am always pleased when I can bring some sort of poetic sensibility to my prose. I’ve published poems in literary journals such as Westerly, Blue Dog, and LiNQ, and in 2007 launched my first collection, Cleanskin.

Please note that my poetry is aimed at adults rather than children and my collection is suitable for Year 9+. I am available to conduct poetry workshops for all ages, however, and have worked with Year 3 through to tertiary level/adult learners.

I am available for poetry readings and panel discussions. If you are programming a festival which features both adult’s and children’s events, I am happy to work across both programs.
